No need to suffer with dry under eyes!

Ole Hendricksen Fresh Start Eye Cream

What Sephora says: “Fresh Start Eye Creme feels rich and luxurious from the moment it touches the skin. The innovative formula allows you to smile and laugh all day, while it maintains the resilience of the eye area.”

Now I’m sure some of you are thinking that I’m crazy and are probably thinking-why is she reviewing an eye-cream? She’s only twenty one! I do have a method to my madness though! Not that long ago, my under eyes were so dry and flaky that I didn’t know what to do! I didn’t want something that was anti-aging frankly because I didn’t need it. So I set out on a mission to find a simple moisturizer for my sad looking under eyes that wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg, was natural and would get the job done. This little tub does all of that and more. It’s truly been a life saver!  Continue reading

Face Mask Friday! Erase those wrinkles with grape!

Image

Grape and Green Clay Facial Mask

I told you all how beneficial resveratol was for your skin. It helps prevent skin aging, erase dark spots and build collagen and luckily for us, it is found in wine and is abundant in the skin of grapes. So I wanted to see just how potent this antioxidant was and decided to make a simple grape mask with Chantell last night. My skin is glowing this morning, and I wholeheartedly attribute it to this mask. It’s become a new favorite!  Continue reading

Spring Tag!

Both Chantell and I were tagged by the lovely Saman from ColourObsession to do a post on some of our favorite spring trends and accessories. Spring has definitely left where Chantell and I are and has been replaced with our usual dry and hot summer. Luckily, these products will still be with us long after the hot sun has gone down. Stressed is Desserts spelled backwards.

Hey everyone! These next two weeks are going to be horribly busy for both Chantell and I. Chantell is going on vacation to Florida (lucky her!) and I’ll be working on numerous projects and studying for finals, so posts will be a bit sporadic. I don’t think they will cease completely, but my focus is not going to be on blogging at the moment. I hope you understand and I promise we’ll be in touch very soon! :]

Love,

Meg

P.S. Please be sure to click “like” on my facebook page to regularly receive updates on my posts! I’ve been a bit more active on there just to keep up with my readers. Also, definitely follow me on twitter. I tweet a few times a day and I’d love to say hello to you all on there! Both links are on the right side of my page, hopefully you can find them! I miss you all!

Blissful Blues.

Jordana Easyliner Retractable Pencil in Bliss

This was definitely an impulse buy. I was browsing Walgreens a couple months ago and I noticed they were having a massive sale on haircare, so I went and bought a deep moisturizing mask, and a smoothing creme. Not wanting to be done shopping, I also checked out these little liners near the register. I’d been looking for a blue eyeliner, so I scanned the selection and finally picked out one I thought would be pretty. For $1.99, I wasn’t expecting anything by Sephora’s standards, but I thought I’d try it out anyway. What a great little budget buy!  Continue reading

Face Mask Friday! Wine isn’t only for drinking!

Image

Wine and Honey Face Mask

I love wine. Let me say that again. I love wine. I have a glass regularly, and I’ve read so many articles about its benefits internally, but I’ve also heard about its benefits applied topically, especially the antioxidant resveratrol. Resveratrol is found primarily in the skin of red grapes and helps with skin aging, fine lines and wrinkles. It also helps protect against sun damage! While red wine doesn’t have as much resveratrol as red grapes, I decided to try it nonetheless just for fun! Next week I hope to tackle a red grape face mask, so stay tuned for that! Here is what you will need. Continue reading

My favorite lip balm.

Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm in Vanilla and Lavender

What Sephora says: “Field tested in extreme conditions, this hydrating balm contains antioxidants and superior moisturizers to provide lasting treatment benefits. It provides broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection.” What it’s formulated without: Sulfates, Synthetic Fragrances, Synthetic Dyes, Petrochemicals, Phthalates, GMO’s, Triclosan

Hey guys! I know I’ve been non consistent in my posts recently, and I’m sorry about that! Finals are really kicking me hard this year and I have numerous projects I have to finish before May 10th. After that, I’ll start posting much more regularly again! I promise! Since I have so much to do, I’ve also been wearing less makeup, and this little lip balm has been my staple this past winter and especially these past few weeks. I know, you guys are probably all thinking–how boring! It’s just lip balm! But I’m here to tell you this is no ordinary lip balm, and while it is from a men’s skincare line, us ladies need to get in on it too. It’s phenomenal.  Continue reading

Getting a little color.

Image

I have to admit, I’ve been really frustrated with the quality of the color coming out of my photos. The color is not as vibrant as I wantit to be, and I’m not quite sure what I’m doing wrong. If anyone has any tips on lighting to get the best color out of the shot, please let me know! Onto the look though! I was extremely inspired by the gorgeous Vera’s post yesterday on her Bronze and Green look that I decided to try one for myself! It’s a bit tamer than hers, but I wanted to play it safe. I did like how it turned out though and it’s furthering me toward using more color in my looks! Now if only the color showed up more on my camera!  Continue reading

Feeling Bare.

MAC Extra Dimension Blush in Bareness

What MAC says: “A liquid-powder blush with prismatic reflections in five shimmering shades. Impact ranges from sheer crystallized light to a highly polished metallic effect. Lasts up to 6 hours.”

This is the first MAC blush that I’ve ever owned, and I have to say that I’m pretty impressed. When I first saw it reviewed on Temptalia, I immediately fell in love with it. Those of you who know me know full well that I really am not a huge fan of blushes at all. When I told Chantell that I wanted her to check this out for me, she was like, “You want me to look at a blush? Since when!?” However, I am glad I told her to check it out, because I’m actually quite smitten for it.  Continue reading

L’oreal Color Riche Balm in Heavenly Berry

What L’oreal says: “Indulge your lips with Colour Riche® Balm. This tinted lip balm provides a hint of luscious, kissable color, smoothing lips instantly and for a full 8 hours of continuous hydration. Lips are softer and more supple all day long—and keeps conditioning even after it’s been removed.”

I cannot tell you how much I love these balms. This was another color that I bought during my Walgreens shopping spree (read about that funny story here) and I am so happy that I have it. If you still haven’t picked one of these up yet, you need to. You’re missing out.  Continue reading
