YVES SAINT LAURENT Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils Babydoll

What Sephora says: “Baby Doll creates a full open-eye effect by lifting and separating lashes. The patented formula creates long-lasting volume and intense color that is evenly dispersed with no flakes, clumps, or smudges for up to 24 hours. Reach every lash, including the baby ones for a full fringe effect. The brush has duo-length bristles that adapt to all lash types, separating, coating, and multiplying lashes for defined volume.”

Stop what you’re doing right now and head to your nearest Sephora to pick up this 100 point perk because this mascara is killer. I ended up getting two of them because I love it so much and I plan on probably getting two more (hey, I’ve got points so I’m going to use them!) and I don’t want to be without this. If you’re a fan of lashes that are sky high without clumps, you will love this.  Continue reading

Bare it all

Naked3five

What Sephora says: “Dare to get Naked all over again with Urban Decay’s latest shadow palette. Naked3 debuts 12 insanely beautiful rose-hued neutrals in an impressive range of shades—from pale, shimmery pink to deep black matte with red microglitter—in ultrasmooth matte, pearl, and glimmering metallic finishes. Each shadow features Urban Decay’s Pigment Infusion System™, the proprietary blend of ingredients that gives every shade its velvety texture, rich color, serious staying power, and blendability.”

I have long been a fan of the original Naked palette. It is my go-to for every day! My sister loved using my palette too, but she has gorgeous green eyes so I convinced her to buy the Naked 3. She now uses it every day and I swear her eyes have never been a more beautiful green.  Continue reading

Last call for spring

Image

Schools out for summer! Well, not really. I still have summer classes. But I’m sure as hell not letting that keep me from enjoying my summer. I’m heading out with my ladies tonight and I wanted my look to be as sizzling as the temperature outside. I hope you’re all enjoying your night as well! I am still loving the Vice Palette by Urban Decay, it’s absolutely perfect for summer! You can bet I’ll be showcasing it many times this summer. Here are the products that I used! Continue reading

Sometimes I don’t hate taupe

Image

If you have been following me long enough, I’m sure you know that I barely ever reach for taupes. But every now and then, my mind switches up on me and I dip my brush into the very few taupes I own and have some fun. I absolutely love taupe and purple, they play so well together! If you have yet to try this combination, you are missing out! Also, please excuse my extra wide/long septum ring. I have to flip it up my nose now for work, so it needed to be big enough for me to do so. Not a huge fan but come summer when I don’t have to worry I am switching it out to something gorgeous. So don’t mind for now! Continue reading

Who says neutral has to be boring?

Today I have a natural daytime spring look for you! I love using neutrals, it’s an all day, everyday kind of thing for me. They add so much to your look without going overboard and I think they get looked over a lot. It’s my first time doing a collage/picture tutorial so bear with me. The lighting was also super frustrating today and my camera wasn’t cooperating either, but practice makes perfect, right? Robin, my roommate was kind enough to be my model for the day and she has seriously gorgeous blue eyes. I loved every second working with her! Expect to see more of these in the future! Onto the tutorial! Continue reading

Face Mask Friday-LUSH Mask of Magnaminty!

Image

What LUSH says: “Mask of Magnaminty isn’t technically a daily ‘facial wash’; it’s actually a deep cleansing face and back mask. China clay and fresh peppermint reach deep down to pull the debris from your pores, giving you that delightful tingly-clean sensation. We add loads of aduki beans to exfoliate flaky or dry skin, vanilla absolute to calm redness and honey to soothe. Our inventors created Mask of Magnaminty to be the ‘ultimate face mask’, intense but not harsh or abrasive on the skin. We recommend using Mask of Magnaminty weekly to keep the skin in good condition.”

I love, love, love that I am finally back on almost all LUSH products again. I’ve been searching around for new brands this past year but somehow going back to LUSH is like going back home. I got all of my old favorites like Dark Angels and Herbalism and Mask of Magnaminty. My skin absolutely loves this mask and yours will too. I mean it’s LUSH, what’s not to love? Continue reading

Amazing Grace

Image

What LUSH says: “We believe everyone should have a Full of Grace as part of their skin care routine. Our solid moisturizing serum is packed full of hydrating tropical butters, calming chamomile and antioxidant mushroom extract to keep your skin in fantastic condition, all year round. Easily absorbed by the skin, Full of Grace creates a soothing treatment for the face. This preservative-free bar is a staple product; it’s the kind of treatment you should give your skin to maintain its elasticity, moisture and glow.”

A couple weeks back when I was in Chicago, my skin was absolutely ravaged from the harsh winds. I hadn’t experienced dry skin like that in a year! I had to stop using my Retin-A Micro and bring out all of my big moisturizing guns to help keep my skin in tip-top shape, and it still was barely enough. So I made at trip to LUSH to grab a bath bomb for Emily because she wasn’t feeling so good and I ended up coming back with face masks and this little beauty I’m about to show you. I swear, I can’t just walk into LUSH and not come out with something! This absolutely saved my skin in Chicago and turned my face from looking like a Draugr Deathlord who got hit by the Frost Breath shout and into moisturized skin worthy of the High Queen. Excuse the Skyrim references if you have no idea what I’m talking about. But if you do, I hope I my references painted a good picture at how bad my skin looked.  Continue reading
