Face Mask Friday!

Ingredients you will need for the Pumpkin Face Mask

This is the first mask we did for our ladies Ultimate party last weekend and it happens to be one of my favorite exfoliating masks! Not to mention we looked like Oompa Loompas (without needing a tan or bad color foundation!) so it was a win win! I wish the guys could’ve seen us, it would have been funny to freak them out and start singing the song. “Oompa Loompa”…..

My beautiful ladies modeling the pumpkin mask!

Pumpkin is really great for gentle exfoliation, it’s used in many peels at spas for that reason. It also can help brighten dull skin! Cinnamon is used to help circulate blood flow, and plump the skin, but it can also be an irritant for people with a really sensitive complexion. I would recommend using only a tiny bit is you’re unsure whether your skin is sensitive. It’s one of the reasons I applied the oats face mask after the pumpkin, because it soothed down the redness that can be caused by the cinnamon  The last ingredient I put in was honey, and I put a lot in! It really binds the mask together and help make it more moisturizing.

Here’s how you can make your own Oompa Loompa Pumpkin Mask:

1. Get one small can of Organic Pumpkin Puree and scoop out a good spoonful of it if you’re only making one. More if you’re making it to last a couple days. Then put it in a bowl.

2. Sprinkle Cinnamon on top (this can be skipped if your skin is sensitive)

3. Add Honey (Add as much as you want)

4. Stir!!

5. Pat on face and distribute evenly

6. Leave on for 5-10 minutes and rinse

If you want to make it a bit more moisturizing, you can add some pure Aloe Vera to the mixture as well. The mask will be a little runnier but it’s not a big deal. If your face starts tingling, it’s most likely the pumpkin exfoliating your face, and it’s nothing to worry about unless it starts stinging. It that happens, rinse it off earlier and put some pure Aloe Vera on your face to soothe it and follow up with a moisturizer. This mask can be a bit strong for people who have sensitive skin, so it’s important to really pay attention to how your skin is feeling. I’ve left this mask on for 20 minutes before and my face has never been red after, so it really just depends on your skin.

It really is a fantastic mask, so try it out! Your skin will look brighter, plumper and overall more even with use. And, you can totally scare people at the same time. That alone makes it worth it!

Let me know what you guys think! Have fun!
