It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer in Light
What It Cosmetics says: “Working hand in hand with the leading plastic surgeons in Brazil, Bye Bye Under Eye was created as a full coverage, highly pigmented anti-aging concealer that utilizes truly innovative technology and ingredients – giving women the power to finally say “bye –bye!” to stubborn under-eye issues. Bye Bye Under Eye offers a waterproof, yet moisturizing, formula that stays put no matter what. The truly innovative formula contains high concentrations of Vitamins K, A, C, E and Collagen, which are clinically proven to reduce under eye puffiness and discoloration while strengthening the delicate skin of the under eye area. More than just full coverage for under the eyes, this formula was developed, tested and is now used to conceal facial bruising and swelling on the face and body of surgery patients in the offices of some of the leading plastic surgeons in Brazil. Hypo-allergenic and non-comedogenic.”
Sounds too good to be true right? I thought so too until I tried it. I thought it was going to be just another concealer that didn’t live up to its claims. I’m here to tell you that I was wrong. I needed this concealer much, much more than I had thought and now I’m positive that I can’t live without it. Continue reading

I had the wonderful opportunity to work with the talented Philip Vukelich on a collaborative photo shoot on Saturday. His photos are absolutely stunning and I’m so lucky I got the chance to work with him! I was fortunate enough to have three beautiful models to doll up, and I enjoyed doing their makeup immensely! They’re gorgeous girls! I’ll be posting more photos soon, but here’s one to tide you over until then!
In the mean time, check out Phil’s work! It’s amazing!

“A place where there isn’t any trouble. Do you suppose there is such a place, Toto?”
What Sephora says: “Inspired by the Disney film’s theme of good witch vs. bad witch (and the good witch/bad witch dichotomy in all of us), Urban Decay created two collectible palettes loaded with beautiful, never-before-seen shades. Recreate Theodora’s captivating, edgy look and ‘Glinda’s ethereal, spellbinding look’ with eight all new and exclusive eye shadows in six pans (this set includes two duo-shades that are split in half, with a different color on each side of the pan). Every shade features Urban Decay’s Pigment Infusion System™, the proprietary blend of ingredients that gives each shade its velvety texture, rich color, serious staying power, and blendability.”
A place without any trouble, huh? Well even if it does exist, I think I’ll stay on this side of the rainbow… These palettes themselves are quite troublesome. At just under $50 a piece, they are leading my bank account anywhere but down the yellow brick road — more like to a little red line where my account balance should be. But, did that stop me from giving in to the temptation of these beauties? Hell. No. Ladies and gents, Urban Decay has presented the world with two little gems that I’d take over a pair of ruby slippers any day. Continue reading
Hey everyone! I just got back from singing at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival! I am so over the moon with happiness, it was amazing! We got to sing back up with an amazing singer named Dee Daniels, she was phenomenal! I feel truly blessed I am in such an amazing choir!
Since it was a jazz fest, what better way to play the part than wearing red lips! I dug out my MAC Ruby Woo and this is what I came up with. I’m sorry it’s another cat eye, I was in so much of a hurry I didn’t have time to play with shadows very much! Also, please excuse the photos. I’m working with an older camera today because my boyfriend is gone for the weekend with his which is what I normally use for my blog. The lighting didn’t seem to want to work at all for me tonight! L’oreal Colour Riche Balm in 118 Satin
What L’oreal says: “Indulge your lips with Colour Riche® Balm. This tinted lip balm provides a hint of luscious, kissable color, smoothing lips instantly and for a full 8 hours of continuous hydration. Lips are softer and more supple all day long—and keeps conditioning even after it’s been removed.”
I bought this when I was able to go shopping with my boyfriends gift card to Walgreens (best boyfriend ever) and I couldn’t wait to try it on! I had heard so much about these and I was so stoked that I finally owned a few. I loved this color the moment I tried it on my lips! I wear it almost every day, it’s that perfect! Continue reading
Youngblood Natural Loose Foundation in Pearl
What Youngblood says: “Create the naturally flawless look you’ve always coveted with this ultra-fine, luxurious powder. The lightweight formula provides buildable coverage and a soft radiance — without any glitter or shimmer. Its exclusively designed container dispenses the precise amount of powder.”
This summer, my skin did not look too hot. It was irritated, red, bumpy and my acne just wouldn’t go away. Little did I know that half of the reason why was because of my OCC foundation. So I did some research one day and found out that one little ingredient called Isoproyl Myristate is highly irritating and highly comedogenic. Turns out, it was in my tinted moisturizer and liquid foundation. So off I went to look for new foundations, and I came across the Youngblood line. This is their best selling foundation, but I was wary because it was a loose mineral base, and I absolutely loathe Bare Minerals Loose Foundation. Thankfully, the wonderful salon let me have a few samples, and that first day I was completely hooked. I was so glad it didn’t look cakey and weird like Bare Minerals and I received so many compliments on my skin it was unbelievable. I bought it a few days later and am still loving it to this day.
