Wild Carrot Herbals Wild Rose and Honey Mask

What Wild Carrot Herbals says: ” Honey is loaded with enzymes to feed the skin and acts as a mild exfoliant.  A honey mask will leave your skin feeling incredibly soft and nourished.  It is not drying and a great choice for those with sensitive skin, or rosacea.  Use by itself or with our wild rose clay mask.  Contains raw honey infused with rose otto essential oil.  Delicious.”

This mask was gifted to me by one of my friends up at college for my birthday! It was no secret to my suite mates that I loved facial masks (helllooo garlic mask on the first week of school!) and I was overjoyed to not have to make a mask for once and save myself some time! It’s a beautiful little mask, and I’m grateful that I discovered this great brand as well.  Continue reading

Hey there, Sweet Talker.

Silk Naturals Eye Shadow in Sweet Talk

Way back when my hair was a dark brunette color, I adored lavender eye shadow. It looked perfect with my hair and my eyes! But then when I dyed my hair red, I found that I didn’t quite like the look on me anymore. I’ve been pretty much slapping myself in the face for that moronic idea because this is one of the prettiest eye shadows I’ve bought to date. Ooops! Is my lavender loving side is showing? You’ll have to go to confession to wear this sinful eye shadow.

Silk Naturals Eye Shadow in Sinner

What Silk Naturals says: “Sinner has a sheer dirty black base with gold, silver and copper glimmers.  It really needs to be worn over Stick ‘Em to avoid fallout, and I’ve been preferring to wear it all by itself with just a ton of mascara, and a nude lip.”

This is one of those eye shadows that can really stand out depending on how you wear it. It can look very angelic when used sheer-ly, but can bring out your devilish side when you wear it wet. How will you choose to wear it? Continue reading

Get your Groove on!

Silk Naturals Groove Eye Shadow

What Silk Naturals says: “Groove is intensely shimmery, and has an underlayer of brown capped with sparkley, shimmery green and gold.  It goes wonderfully with Shimmy.  This one is limited edition- as soon as I made it I found out that the pigment has been discontinued by the manufacturer.”

I am absolutely in love with this color. I plan on buying a back up since it’s being discontinued because I plan on having this color in my life forever. It looks absolutely stunning with my hazel eyes, just wait until you see the color! You’ll be wanting to wear this ordering a dirty olive martini after this for sure. Continue reading

A palette, a park, and the most perfect day.

IMAG0911

It’s been no secret that I absolutely love being twenty-one, but I was more than happy to trade in my adult privileges for five days of pure childhood amusement. Okay, so I didn’t completely hand over the booze, but I did get to act like a twelve year old and that was pretty awesome. Continue reading

It’s Campagne not Champagne.

Silk Naturals Campagne Eye Shadow

I received my shipment from Silk Naturals today! I ordered it last Saturday, so it took less than a week to get here from New York. Not too bad! Silk Naturals is a mineral makeup company and all of their products are vegan, gluten free and eye, face and lip safe. They also do not test on animals. I’ve been wanting to order from them for over a year, so I finally took the plunge and did it, and I am so glad I did. I ordered 10 eye shadows and I adore every single color. I’ve got a special one to show you today.  Continue reading

No need to suffer with dry under eyes!

Ole Hendricksen Fresh Start Eye Cream

What Sephora says: “Fresh Start Eye Creme feels rich and luxurious from the moment it touches the skin. The innovative formula allows you to smile and laugh all day, while it maintains the resilience of the eye area.”

Now I’m sure some of you are thinking that I’m crazy and are probably thinking-why is she reviewing an eye-cream? She’s only twenty one! I do have a method to my madness though! Not that long ago, my under eyes were so dry and flaky that I didn’t know what to do! I didn’t want something that was anti-aging frankly because I didn’t need it. So I set out on a mission to find a simple moisturizer for my sad looking under eyes that wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg, was natural and would get the job done. This little tub does all of that and more. It’s truly been a life saver!  Continue reading

Face Mask Friday! Erase those wrinkles with grape!

Image

Grape and Green Clay Facial Mask

I told you all how beneficial resveratol was for your skin. It helps prevent skin aging, erase dark spots and build collagen and luckily for us, it is found in wine and is abundant in the skin of grapes. So I wanted to see just how potent this antioxidant was and decided to make a simple grape mask with Chantell last night. My skin is glowing this morning, and I wholeheartedly attribute it to this mask. It’s become a new favorite!  Continue reading

Spring Tag!

Both Chantell and I were tagged by the lovely Saman from ColourObsession to do a post on some of our favorite spring trends and accessories. Spring has definitely left where Chantell and I are and has been replaced with our usual dry and hot summer. Luckily, these products will still be with us long after the hot sun has gone down.
