What Revlon says: “Pamper your lips with a gel formula that provides super-charged hydration and glides on buttery smooth. In fact, 94% of women’s lips felt were softer, smoother, and instantly hydrated”
In fashion, they say orange is the new black but in terms of lip color, orange is definitely the new red. From full on bright orange like MAC Lady Danger to a pigmented balm like Revlon Tutti Frutti, orange has taken the makeup world by storm. If you’re looking for a hint of color without sacrificing moisture, this is it.
What I love about Revlon Colorburst lipsticks is that they provide moisture and color, you don’t have to sacrifice one for the other. Granted, since it is more of a balm, the color will not be as pigmented as a regular lipstick but it still packs a punch if you layer. Tutti Frutti glides on very smoothly and doesn’t drag. The color is a light orange/melon that tints slightly pink on my light, rosey lips. The color starts fading after two hours, especially if you’re eating and drinking but my lips still retain moisture for few hours after it’s gone. It does leave a slight tint after the balm starts fading away but not enough to really make a difference.
This color has been my go-to for a great part of the summer to punch up my look without going overboard in the heat. If you’ve always wanted to wear orange on your lips but haven’t liked any of the current lipsticks on the market, try this. It just might be what you’re looking for! Also, I have to say that it looks absolutely fantastic with my new septum clicker from Industrial Strength that I bought in Newport Beach from Barbella Studios. I couldn’t be happier!
