Candy coated

my Easter candy kick has inspired even my recent makeup selections

Happy almost Easter everyone! I made a couple purchases at Sephora yesterday that I am so excited to show off. Stila released a new liner for spring that is exactly the color I have been searching for the past year. I swear, it’s “the one”. Bonus, it’s waterproof, so I’m anxious to try it out poolside. So what is this magical new color? It’s the smudge stick waterproof eyeliner in Turquoise. Unlike many turquoise liners that tend to be really bright and almost more cerulean, this one is a slightly pale pastel perfect for Easter. Now, you know I’m ecstatic for this color, so what could possibly blow my mind even more in one swatch fest? Thank you Easter-Bunny-Magic-Man-Of-My-Life!! Sephora has four shades of the YSL Rouge Volupte Shine available for a limited time in our blessed Boise store. I took one look at the color Corail in Touch and I swear I died and was resurrected right there at the front of the store. So here’s my spring look take two, a more vibrant, colorful look. MAC Creme d’ Nude Lipstick

What MAC says:”Colour plus texture for the lips. Stands out on the runway. Simmers on the street! What made M·A·C famous.”

Every year for Christmas, Chantell buy each other a lipstick. This year, I realized I didn’t own a nude lipstick, so off we went to Sephora! Unfortunately, I didn’t find a single nude I was looking for. They had too much brown, or pink, and some even had traces of orange! Yuck! They had nothing in Nakedology either, so off to MAC we went. What I found was exactly what I was looking for, and I mentally smacked myself for not going there first. This is the perfect non-dead looking nude lipstick I’ve ever found, I absolutely adore it.  Continue reading

Get Jazzy! FOTD

Hey everyone! I just got back from singing at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival! I am so over the moon with happiness, it was amazing! We got to sing back up with an amazing singer named Dee Daniels, she was phenomenal! I feel truly blessed I am in such an amazing choir!

Since it was a jazz fest, what better way to play the part than wearing red lips! I dug out my MAC Ruby Woo and this is what I came up with. I’m sorry it’s another cat eye, I was in so much of a hurry I didn’t have time to play with shadows very much! Also, please excuse the photos. I’m working with an older camera today because my boyfriend is gone for the weekend with his which is what I normally use for my blog. The lighting didn’t seem to want to work at all for me tonight!
